The Athletes4Society International Conference is fast approaching and is set to be a dynamic and insightful event that you won’t want to miss! This conference is an opportunity to engage with experts in the field and learn about how sports organisations can work with their athletes to position them as role models in society in order to provoke social change.
The conference is being held on 9th February 2023 at the Cultural Centre’s auditorium in Cascais and will bring together 9 European organisations involved in the Athletes4Society project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
The conference will feature a roundtable session on the “Challenges and Opportunities for Social Impact of Elite Sport”, moderated by Susana Feitor and featuring an expert panel of guests, including Diana Gomes, OLY and President of the Olympic Athletes Commission, the former professional basketball player Carlos Andrade and Tiago Viegas, President of the Portuguese Olympic Academy. This session will explore the intersection of sports and society and will be a must-attend for anyone interested in this field.
In addition to this roundtable session, the conference will also present the results of the Athletes4Society project and explore related topics.
