The Magic Wand: The Field of Traditional Sports and Games

About The Magic Wand

The infrastructure of the project is based on the local experience of its partner organizations and their cooperation. Addressing the problem of participation of disadvantaged groups, the project has set targets for these groups and the organizations working with them.

The analyzes of the project were made together with young people with disabilities and students with educational difficulties in their target groups. The traditional sports and games (TSG) field, which includes common values and cultural heritage, will be used effectively in the project processes to achieve the goals.

The main goals of this project are:

  • To develop traditional sports and games by creating structures specific to the field and a local coaching system;
  • To ensure the participation of disadvantaged groups in TSG, increasing their social inclusion and developing healthy life habits,
  • To increase the competencies and capacities of local organizations and individuals working in the field of TSG,
  • To increase awareness of social and cultural diversity among local communities and the international community by using the TSG’s ties with cultural heritage and common values, to develop solidarity in the field of fighting discrimination and exclusion.

Throughout the project cycle, activity groups will be implemented for target groups that complement each other and provide links between the local dimension and the international dimension. Sustainable, realistic and inclusive activities planned within the scope of local and international management strategy have been planned.
