About The Magic Wand
The Magic Wand was a European project focused on promoting the participation and social inclusion of disadvantaged groups through traditional sports and games. Built on the local experience and cooperation of partner organisations, the project addressed the needs of young people with disabilities, students with educational difficulties and the organisations working with them, using traditional sports and games as a tool connected to cultural heritage, shared values and community participation.
The project developed local and international activities designed to strengthen inclusion, healthy lifestyles, cultural awareness and cooperation between communities. By creating structures specific to traditional sports and games, supporting a local coaching system and increasing the competences of organisations and individuals in the field, The Magic Wand aimed to build sustainable, realistic and inclusive practices that connected local action with international learning and helped combat discrimination and exclusion.
Main Objectives
- Developed traditional sports and games through dedicated structures and a local coaching system;
- Promoted the participation of disadvantaged groups in traditional sports and games;
- Increased social inclusion and supported healthy lifestyle habits;
- Strengthened the competences and capacities of local organisations and individuals;
- Raised awareness about social and cultural diversity through cultural heritage and shared values;
- Promoted solidarity in the fight against discrimination and exclusion;
- Connected local and international activities through inclusive and sustainable project actions.
