SEMY
About SEMY
The SEMY project aims to use sport as a powerful tool to promote the social inclusion of marginalized youth, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, migrant communities, and at risk of social deviance. By collecting good practices, training staff, and strengthening public policies, SEMY seeks to create sustainable pathways for young people to integrate into society through structured and informal sports activities.
This project has the following general objectives:
- Support the principle of “sport for all” by increasing access to sport for disadvantaged groups.
- Develop guidelines, strategies, and methodologies for using sport as a tool for inclusion and community building.
- Equip coaches, trainers, and volunteers with skills to work effectively with marginalized youth.
- Foster policy improvement at the local level to ensure sport is better used for social cohesion and inclusive growth.
