Green Strategies for Healthy Lifestyle promotion at Campus
About Green Strategies for Healthy Lifestyle promotion at Campus - Green Campus
Green Strategies for Healthy Lifestyle promotion at Campus – Green Campus was a European project focused on supporting sustainability in higher education institutions from the perspective of university sport services. The project responded to the growing concern among university sport departments about the carbon footprint generated by their activities and aimed to help managers and decision-makers adopt more sustainable and health-promoting practices on campus.
The project developed an evidence-based training programme and MOOC designed by experts in sustainability and sport sciences, enabling university sport service professionals to better understand, plan and implement sustainability measures within their institutions. It also created an app to promote the project strategies and activities, as well as a Green Campus Seal to recognise universities that voluntarily evaluated and improved their sustainable and healthy-lifestyle promotion actions connected to sport services.
