FORTHE

About FORTHE

Forging the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Climate Action through 3×3 Basketball Urban Sport  FORTHE was a European project focused on connecting youth, disability inclusion, climate action and urban sport. The project used 3×3 basketball as an accessible and engaging tool to promote the social inclusion of young people with disabilities, while also encouraging their active participation in climate-related initiatives and community life.

The project was aligned with the Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021–2030, particularly the principle of equal access and participation in society. By involving youth workers, local organisations, citizens and public bodies, FORTHE aimed to transform the post-COVID 19 challenges faced by disabled youth into opportunities for empowerment, mobility, policy engagement and inclusive climate action through sport.
