Genderwise

About Genderwise

Genderwise was a European project focused on promoting gender equality and supporting the career development of young athletes aged between 14 and 26. Bringing together seven partners from six European countries — Croatia, Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Portugal and Ukraine — the project addressed key challenges in the sport sector connected to equal opportunities, representation, skills development and access to future professional pathways.

The project supported young athletes through educational resources, digital tools, mentoring and a virtual learning community. By developing educational modules, surveys, a web platform, MOOCs and evaluation tools, Genderwise helped participants gain transferable skills and basic knowledge for future roles in coaching, management or sport organisations, while also strengthening mentoring connections with experienced former athletes.
