ENHANCE

About Enhance

Enhance was a European project focused on assessing, raising awareness and educating grassroots esports players and their parents or carers about the social risks and benefits of competitive online gaming. The project addressed the need to better understand the online gaming environment among young European gamers aged 14 to 18, including issues such as toxic behaviour, hate speech, discrimination, violent communication and other harmful interactions.

The project combined research, education and digital innovation to support safer and more positive esports environments. Through the development of a self-assessment tool, pedagogical resources and the Esports Social Observatory, Enhance aimed to help young gamers, parents and educators recognise harmful behaviours, promote pro-social and creative practices, and strengthen digital communities based on respect, inclusion and positive interaction.
