Hemsball Rising Sun For Autism

About Hemsball Rising Sun For Autism - HERSA

Hemsball Rising Sun For Autism – HERSA was a European project focused on introducing Hemsball, a new and accessible sport that was still not widely known in Europe, as an innovative tool to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The project aimed to explore and share the potential benefits of Hemsball by comparing pre-study and post-study results, while involving all partners in the development and implementation of training activities for autistic children.

The project also focused strongly on digitalisation, visibility and transferability. Through training exercises, video records, social media tools, guides and an open-access e-guidebook, the project aimed to make Hemsball easier to understand and replicate by trainers, organisations and families working with autistic children. By encouraging cooperation between partner countries, the project contributed to raising awareness about the needs of children with ASD, promoting their participation in sport and supporting evidence-based approaches connected to sport, inclusion and public health.
