About Active
Active aimed to promote young people’s engagement with the European Youth Goals and future EU youth policies through inclusive and sustainable sport activities. The project focused especially on less active young people and those at risk of marginalisation, showing how small actions in sport can contribute to inclusion, sustainability, civic participation and European values.
Main Objectives
- Created stronger connections between young people, European values and the EU Youth Goals through sport;
- Strengthened the capacities of young coaches and athletes to engage their peers in EU topics;
- Promoted inclusive and sustainable sport activities and events;
- Supported youth participation, civic engagement and contribution to democratic processes;
- Fostered cooperation between youth organisations and sport organisations across Europe;
- Developed tools, good practices, training resources and awareness-raising activities
