Gender Equality Force
About Gender Equality Force - GE Force
Gender Equality Force – GE Force was a European project focused on promoting gender equality in sport leadership and governance. The project responded to the lack of research and practical action regarding women’s participation in decision-making positions within sport organisations, despite the growing importance of good governance, diversity and inclusion in the European sport sector.
The project aimed to empower sport organisations to achieve a better gender balance in leadership roles by raising awareness, supporting future sport leaders and providing practical guidance for organisational change. Through research, an educational programme, an online consultancy system, a final conference and a handbook with implementation guidelines, GE FORCE supported sport organisations in adopting concrete measures to promote gender equality and more inclusive governance practices.
